FAQs
Buying
What do you actually sell?
We design, build, brand and launch subscription software products. You bring the idea; we ship the product, and you own it. We also build products of our own, the AfterCode Originals.
Buying
Can you set up my company as well?
No. AfterCode builds the product, not the company. We don't do company formation, legal paperwork or company departments, and we don't run your business. Need the company set up too? Utopian.
Scope
Commission or co-build?
A commission is a fixed scope and a build fee, and you own everything. A co-build has a lower fee plus a share of revenue or equity, and we stay on as the product team.
Pricing
How much does it cost?
We quote per product, not per hour. The price depends on the features, integrations, AI features and how much film and 3D the brand needs. Running costs (hosting, model usage, third-party subscriptions) are listed separately.
Ownership
Who owns the result?
You do: code, brand, accounts, data and the product's domain. Exact terms are being finalised in legal review.
Process
When do I get to decide things?
At the end of every stage. There are six, and nothing moves on until you approve the gate.
Data
Where does my product's data live?
This is being confirmed and will be published. We publish only true statements.
Launch
What happens at launch?
Billing goes live, the site and listings go up and the first customers onboard.
Support
What happens after launch?
Either we keep operating the product on a monthly retainer, or we hand everything over: repository, documentation, hosting and a runbook. Retainer terms are being confirmed.
